First photo of Africa’s Okapi in the wild taken by British organization

The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) captured the first photograph of the Okapi, an african animal in the wild. Camera Traps were set-up at the at Virunga National Park to capture the photo of the Okapi.
The Okapi belongs to the Giraffe family but resemble more of a zebra with it’s striped rear. The ever elusive creature was last seen 50 years ago at the Virunga National Park on the West bank of the Semliki River. The poachers still remains a big threat the okapi population.
In my opinion though, conservation programs for the endangered animals should include relocation since poachers are vile vultures that won’t stop.
