Wasps Makes sweet love to Orchid

Scientist has observed strange pseudosexual relationship between male wasps and a particular orchid species known as Australian tongue orchids. The orchid lures the male wasps into mating with them. Wasps are known to collect pollens as they flit from one flower to the other.

Unfortunately, the male wasps ends up wasting their precious sperm in the process. This strange discovery may seem alarming but rest assured that the females wasps can do fine without males. Turns out that 90% of the female wasps can reproduce without any male sperm needed.
